Young, bold, educated and fierce! Caprice Berrios talks about life in Orange County as she starts her freshman year of high school from home. We discussed everything from her inspiration, AOC, people in junior high using the N-word, and the fact that as a triplet she has seen her darker siblings racially profiled. I loved being able to capture the young woman’s feelings and thoughts just as Capreese is this summer. Time at home from COVID as given this 14-year-old the bandwidth to research and form her own opinions. If she’s like this now, I can’t wait to see her as an adult and a future leader!
